Georgia’s brand recognition in Canada is strong, as Canada is the state’s top export destination. Georgia exports to Canada increased 7 percent from 2007-08.
Georgia’s office in Toronto is headed by Maria Arbulu, who for the past decade has been helping Georgia companies locate buyers and partners in the Canadian market. For 20 years, she has operated her own consulting firm to assist foreign companies doing business in Canada. She previously worked with the Michigan departments of agriculture and commerce as a trade specialist.
