Mexico was Georgia’s second largest export market last year, with the state’s exports there increasing 24 percent over 2007.

Georgia’s office in Mexico City is managed by Caroline Vérut, who has 20 years of experience helping American companies enter Mexican markets. She is founder of a consulting firm that specializes in matching foreign firms with Mexican buyers and partners, and she previously co-founded an information-technology consulting firm.

Fluent in Spanish, English, French and German, Ms. Vérut was a market research manager with the U.S. Commercial Service in Mexico after working for the Mexican Ministry of Finance and Bank of America Corp.
