Pest-control company Orkin Inc., a subsidiary of Atlanta-based Rollins Inc., has launched its 12th international franchise in the Mediterranean island nation of Cyprus. 

The new franchise expands Orkin's business into a previously uncharted region and boosts the company's "global brand recognition," said Tom Luczynski, vice president of international development and franchising.

Rollins has five pest-control subsidiaries serving 2 million customers from more than 500 locations through the world.
