The World Chamber of Commerce is hosting its second international trade seminar at the World Trade Center Atlanta on Wednesday, Nov. 19, from 5-7:00 p.m.

The seminar will focus on opportunities and best practices with panelists including members of Atlanta’s consular corps, state officials and service providers.

“The chamber aims at enhancing and supporting international trade, cultural and educational exchanges between the U.S. and other countries,” Solange Warner, the chamber’s president, told GlobalAtlanta.

She added that the World Chamber differs from the many binational chambers in the Southeast by linking companies with business opportunities globally.

Craig Lesser, managing director of the law firm McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP, is a director of the chamber who has helped organize the upcoming seminar.

Among the scheduled participants are John Fretti, mayor of Valdosta; Carlos Layus, dean of the Consular Corp and consul general of Argentina based in Atlanta; Lutz H. Gorgens, consul general of Germany; Brian Oak, consul general of Canada.

Other participants to be involved are Rick Martin, a trade professional with the University of Georgia Small Business Development Center; Taube Ponce, senior international trade specialist at the Georgia Department of Economic Development and Tom Rosseland, chairman of the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce.

The cost of the seminar is $25 for World Chamber members and $30 for non-members. Please make a reservation before Nov. 12.  Anyone who becomes a chamber member before Nov. 19 will be eligible for a raffle to win a Delta Air Lines Inc. international ticket.

To make a reservation, call Ms. Warner at (404) 880-9595
