An Australian software firm that helps companies manage their workforces is set to open its headquarters for the Western Hemisphere in Alpharetta, employing 20 people when fully staffed.

The announcement comes just a week after a manufacturer and a fintech firm from the Pacific country announced new operations in Georgia.

Sydney-based Deputy already has customers in Georgia, ranging from small food outlets like GiGi’s Cupcakes to larger creative entities like video game producer Hi-Rez Studios.

But the 8-year-old company, whose programs are used in 73 countries to facilitate easier employee scheduling and communication, is accelerating its sales in the U.S., recently announcing a fourfold increase regional revenues in just one year.

Atlanta, with its cadre of global companies, technology scene and international reputation, was seen as a prime spot to continue that expansion, said Jason Walker, newly tapped vice president of strategy and operations who will lead the company’s North American team.

“We’re proud to join the growing group of global headquarters here in the Peach State,” Mr. Walker said in a release.
