In 2010 event will focus on the culture and heritage of Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar (Burma), Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
The highlight of the two-day festival is the Performance Celebration, featuring the music and dance of the 15 countries, at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 31st, in the Ballroom.
The festivities begin at 11 a.m. that day with a VIP Tea Party at 6 p,m.- ACE Grand Opening Ceremony hosted by key volunteers from metro Atlanta’s Asian-American communities. You are invited to meet with legislators, diplomats, CEO, community leaders, celebrities, etc. who will be attended the Grand Opening Ceremony.
During the two days, there will be fashion shows, exhibits of rare cultural artifacts, and a variety of demonstrations, including calligraphy, woodwork, pottery, fruits and vegetables carving; and origami, the Japanese art of paper-folding.
There also will be demonstrations of Thai massage, Thai Boxing, as well as games such as Igo (Japan), Sungka (Philippines) and Mah Jongg (China). Martial arts, including Tae Kwando, Judo and Karate, will also be demonstrated.
Self-Defense will be taught all 2 days and a Korean Wedding Ceremony will be demonstrated.
