Emerging technology companies from Israel and the Southeast will network with leaders in the technology and broadband cable industries on Feb. 7-9 at a business matching-making event in Atlanta organized by the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce.
According to Tom Glaser, president of the Southeast chapter of the AICC, this event differs from a typical industry show or investor conference in that the participation is based on a pre-event matching procedure.
Hosted by Cox Communications Inc., the event will be held at Cox Central Park at in Atlanta. A kick-off reception, featuring keynote speaker Robert C. McIntyre, chief technology officer at Scientific-Atlanta Inc., will be held on Monday, Feb. 7, from 6-8 p.m.
Technology companies participating include Arris Systems Inc., C-Cor Inc., Comcast Corp., Cox Enterprises New Media Group, Intel Corp., Microsoft Corp., Philips International Inc., Rogers Communications Inc., Scientific-Atlanta, Synacor Inc., Time-Warner Inc. and Turner Broadcasting System Inc.
Venture capital companies participating include Battery Ventures, EGL Ventures, HIG Ventures, Kinetic Ventures, Noro-Moseley Partners and Seed Capital Partners.
The sectors represented by emerging technology companies include content management; data and video; digital and IP video; interactive television applications; Internet security applications; multimedia technologies; operating and provisioning systems; voice over IP and wireless voice.
