Delta to Become a More 'Latin Airline'

Delta Air Lines Inc. is working to become more of a "Latin airline" as it seeks to penetrate deeper into one of the world's hottest aviation markets, David Bishko, managing director for Latin America and the Caribbean, said Feb. 29.

With a strong hub in Japan thanks to its acquisition of Northwest Airlines in 2009, Delta is ready for the global economy's eastward shift. But for U.S. travelers, Latin America has much more promise, Mr. Bishko said.
