Japan's foreign ministry is inviting five Japanese-American high school students on a free trip to learn about the land of their ancestors.

The 12-day trip will include visits to Tokyo, the economically vital Kansai region and home stays with Japanese families in the Kanto region near Tokyo. Airfare from San Francisco and all ground expenses will be covered.

Students from Atlanta are encouraged to apply for the 10-day trip through the Consulate General of Japan in Atlanta by April 24.
