Consular Conversations: Luncheon/Interview With Turkey’s Consul General

Global Atlanta’s monthly Consular Conversations series sponsored by Miller & Martin PLLC continues as the editorial team interviews Burç Ceylan, Turkey’s consul general for the Southeast U.S., based in Miami. About our speaker:

Having assumed, as of August 1, 2017, his responsibilities as the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Miami, Mr. Burç Ceylan worked at the Overseas Promotion (2000-2003) and Information (2008-2010) Departments of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and at the Office of the Chief Foreign Affairs Advisor to the Prime Minister (2014-2017).
Also as part of his diplomatic career, Mr. Ceylan served at the Embassies of Turkey in Cairo (2003-2005), Singapore (2005-2008), Tel Aviv (2010-2011) and at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Turkey to the United Nations-New York (2011-2014).
Consul General Ceylan completed his secondary education at TED Ankara Koleji and his undergraduate studies at Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences, International Relations Department. He has earned an M.A. degree on International Relations and European Studies from the University of Kent at Canterbury (United Kingdom) as a Jean Monnet scholar.
Consul General Ceylan is married, with two children.
