Personal Reflections on the Fight for Security and Democracy in Israel

Join J Street, as they host a A Conversation with IDF Major General Noam Tibon and Amir Tibon. Major General Noam Tibon is the CEO of Tracense Technologies; the Chairman of the Board of Tel Aviv Global. Major General Tibon served in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) for 35 years, and is one of Israel’s top experts in counter-terrorism. He began his distinguished military career in the IDF special forces, and later held a number of senior command positions, including Commander of the 202 Paratroopers Battalion, the Nahal Brigade, the West Bank Division, and the Northern Formation.

Amir Tibon, Noam’s oldest son, is an award-winning Israeli journalist, who is currently the chief Washington correspondent for Israeli newspaper Haaretz. His writings on Israel and the Middle East have been published in The Atlantic, Foreign Affairs, The New Republic, Tablet Magazine and other leading U.S. publications. His first book, a biography of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, came out in July.
