The French-American Chamber of Commerce Atlanta is seeking nominations for its board of directors just as it begins the search for a new executive director.
Julie Lambotte, who has led the chamber’s staff since 2019, is stepping down after the chamber’s Beaujolais Nouveau wine event Thursday, taking time off before she heads back to Belgium next year with her children and husband, who has been assigned to a position there with Solvay.
Ms. Lambotte came to the FACC from a similar role at the Belgian-American Chamber of Commerce of the South in Atlanta, a position she started in 2016. Before that, she worked as a legal counsel in the human resources department of BNP Paribas.
More recently, Ms. Lambotte presided over the chamber’s recent move to the CuriosityLab at Peachtree Corners, where the recently designated La French Tech hub is headquartered after a grand opening in October.
Her departure is to come after an extraordinarily busy November, which included the chamber’s annual Crystal Peach Awards, which returned as an in-person gala this year after a pandemic-year hiatus, as well as Nov. 10 fintech webinar that served as the final business event in the annual France-Atlanta series hosted by the Consulate General of France and Georgia Tech.
Board of directors nominations are being accepted through Dec. 3, with the election of new directors set for Jan. 27 at the annual general assembly. Only FACC members in good standing are eligible for nomination.
