Atlanta-based Precision Aviation Group has agreed to acquire PTB Group, a fellow provider of maintenance, overhaul and repair services with two business units in Australia.

In addition to four Pacific Turbines offices in the U.S., PTB’s network of service centers for Pratt & Whitney and Honeywell engines includes two units in the Australian city of Brisbane, including an engine leasing group, and a supply-chain subsidiary called International Air Parts in Sydney.

Precision Aviation’s network of repair centers will expand to 20 worldwide with the acquisition. The company already boasts $31 million in parts inventory from 75 original equipment manufacturers, offering 650,000-square-feet of sales and service facilities in the United States, Canada, Australia, Singapore and Brazil. Atlanta-based PAG, as it’s known, has subsidiaries with MRO or manufacturing capabilities on 150,000 products across avionics, components, engines and manufacturing, supporting these capabilities with an internally curated supply chain.

If the merger gains shareholder approval, the deal would close in the fourth quarter of 2022. It would be the second MRO deal in of the year for PAG, which purchased Velocity Aerospace in March.
