Attendance doubled at this year’s Multi-Chamber Mixer in Gwinnett, a networking soiree showing the fruit of a years-long effort to celebrate the county’s diverse international business community.
This year’s event at the Gas South District cut off registration at 400 the day before the mixer, which included booths featuring international cuisine and representatives from a variety of binational chambers of commerce.
Gwinnett Chamber CEO Nick Masino said the event was a physical manifestation of his chamber’s commitment to engage with these organizations by signing partnership agreements and offering board seats to their leaders.
Gwinnett previously hosted similar mixers with regional chambers, spurring the idea for one with a more global flair.
“We thought, with all these new friend and relationships, why don’t we try this out?” Mr. Masino told BusinessRadioX in an interview.
Last year’s event brought in 200, but with pandemic precautions lifted and the business community back in growth mode, that number jumped in 2022.
“The difference in this year, the attendance here at the event tonight, is just absolutely amazing,” Mr. Masino said in the interview.
