Luncheon: The State of International Child Protection in Georgia
October 30, 2024 at 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
With more than 10 percent of Georgia’s population now born outside U.S., the state is seeing an enviable rise in diversity that has contributed to its political vibrancy and economic prosperity.
But it also begs a question: Are local policy makers and stakeholders across civil society and business equipped to navigate complex cultural issues and the tangled web of cross-border regulations that govern how we protect the most vulnerable in society?
Or will institutional and resource gaps persist that hinder the effective delivery of services and opportunity to kids and families?
Join the Consulate General of Mexico, The Manely Firm, Division of Family and Child Services (DFaCS) and other experts at the Cobb Chamber of Commerce for an in-person, interactive luncheon roundtable providing the latest on the state of international child protection in Georgia and how consulates, nonprofits and even companies can be part of solving child welfare challenges, even before they arise.
