For the last 6 years, the International Women’s Forum Georgia has celebrated International Women’s Day with an event that serves as a platform to discuss and share ideas regarding women’s achievements and the challenges we face.

Last year we focused on happiness. This year the focus will be on money. “Women, Wealth and Power” is the theme of the event that presents a unique opportunity to explore the intersection of women’s empowerment, economic influence, and leadership.

This year’s event will feature:

  • Liz Everett Krisberg, Deputy Director of Bank of America Global Research
  • Janelle Williams, Former Principal Advisor on the Atlanta Fed’s Community and Economic Development Team and Co-founder and CEO of Kindred Futures
  • Luz Urrutia, CEO of Opportunity Fund
  • Donata Russell, CEO of Concessions International LLC

There will also be a panel on “Power and Intention,” which will feature Natosha Reid Rice in conversation with Liz Blake, exploring her personal journey in philanthropy and activism.

Sessions include:

Letโ€™s Do the Numbers: Where women in the U.S. and internationally stand economically, and what are the historical, cultural and political โ€œwhyโ€™sโ€ behind it. Panelists include Liz Everett Krisberg, deputy director of Bank of America Global Research, and Janelle Williams, former principal advisor on the Atlanta Fed’s Community and Economic Development team and co-founder and CEO of Kindred Futures.

Moderator: Beverly Daniel Tatum

Finding the Means: How women are overcoming hurdles to wealth and capital; and how they are growing it. Panelists include Luz Urrutia, CEO of Opportunity Fund, and Donata Russell, CEO of Concessions International, LLC.

Moderator: Virginia Hepner

Power and Intention: As women build financial means, what do they do with it, and what could they do with it? The panel will feature Natosha Reid Rice in conversation with Liz Blake to explore her personal journey in philanthropy and activism.
