Steps into German Language Course

Course description:

Acquire German essentials in three sessions!   

Suitable for all who are planning a trip to Germany, recently have made friends with native German speakers, have started a job with a German or Austrian company, or have any other reason to get a taste of the German language.

The course will cover essentials such as:
Greetings including cultural customs, exchanging basic information about oneself, numbers and phone numbers, food facts and common foods, German pronunciation. 

The course is also great for all who want to find out what it takes to learn the German language without committing to a full course right away. 

The sessions are held in-person in our Peachtree Center office at 233 Peachtree St NE, Suite 100, Atlanta, GA 30303. Students outside the Atlanta area or those who don’t want to fight Atlanta traffic can join via Zoom and our conference system. 

Please indicate at registration if you are an in-person or online student. 

We validate parking in the attached International Garage at 192 Peachtree Center Ave NE (bring your parking ticket) for in-person participants.  

No textbook needed, all materials will be provided by the instructor. 

Level A1:

A1 is the first year of learning with usually 60 to 150 hours of instruction, depending on environment parameters and learning style. Students who meet the requirements to take the A1 exam have taken a qualified A1 level course sequence at either a Goethe institution or at another CEFR based institution. Students who wish to take the A1 exam and have learned the language at a university or non-CEFR based institution can check their readiness for all aspects of A1 completion by taking a qualified placement test.
