An executive at Duluth-based AGCO Corp. is now also heading up the agricultural equipment maker’s expanding operations in Asia and Eastern Europe.

Hubertus Muehlhaeser, who joined AGCO in 2004 as senior vice president for strategy and integration, took on the new role in an effort to continue building the company’s business in emerging markets.

In Asia, Mr. Muehlhaeser will oversee China and India.  In Eastern Europe and Central Asia, he will focus on the company’s plans for Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
