The American-Israel Chamber of Commerce Southeast Region presented Veritas Venture Partners LLC with its Israeli Company of the Year and Proneuron Biotechnologies Ltd. with its Deal of the Year awards last week.
The awards were presented at the 3rd Annual Eagle Star Awards Gala held at the Georgia Tech College of Management in Midtown.
Veritas Venture Partners is a venture capital firm that is based in Herzliya, Israel, and has its North American headquarters in Atlanta. The firm invests primarily in seed and early stage technology companies.
Proneuron Biotechnologies is a privately held biopharmaceutical company that develops products for the treatment of spinal cord injuries.
Proneuron and Smyrna-based Cell Design, a subsidiary of Cell Dynamics LLC, received a $3.2 million grant from the Marcus Foundation to develop in conjunction with the Shepherd Center a cell processing facility in Atlanta for nerve regeneration treatment.
