Arby’s Restaurant Group Inc. has hired an executive with extensive experience in the food and restaurant industries as its new chief operating officer.

From 2003 until earlier this year, Diana Petrovich-Tao was responsible for Burger King Corp.‘s operational training initiatives in 70 countries. Before that, she held leadership positions at Mrs. Fields Brands, a gourmet cookie provider. She was a vice president at Kinkos Inc. from 1998-2001.

She has also worked with Taco Bell Corp., Packaging Corp. of America, Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc. and Castle & Cooke Foods.

Arby’s is a subsidiary of Atlanta-based Wendy’s/Arby’s Group Inc. The Wendy’s/Arby’s system has 10,000 restaurants in the U.S. and 24 other countries.
