Foot Solutions, an Atlanta-based shoe store chain, has collected more than 100,000 pairs of donated shoes for the earthquake victims in Haiti.

Foot Solutions asked customers to drop off lightly-used shoes at any of the company’s 240 locations. The shoes will be shipped to Haiti by a Nashville-based non-profit, Soles4Souls.

“Almost everyone has shoes in their closets that they don’t use, ” said Ray Margiano, Foot Solutions CEO and founder. Giving shoes is a way for people who don’t feel comfortable donating cash to participate in the relief effort, he said.
