The U.S. Trade and Development Agency has announced a series of grants for projects in Poland including a $160,000 grant for technical assistance to support the Zielona Gora power plant and a $625,000 environmental grant to Polish steelmaker Huta T. Sendzimira in support of a solid waste processing project.
A consortium, including Georgia-based Southern Electric International, has secured an exclusive agreement to develop the Zielona Gora project. The Atlanta firm of R. A. Taylor & Associates coordinated the application for the grant to Huta T. Sendzimira. Another Atlanta firm, Corporate Strategies International Inc., was involved as well.
