Atlanta-based tvsdesign has won the Urban Land Institute‘s global award of excellence for its design and planning work on the Levine Center for the Arts in CharlotteN.C. 

The center was one of 14 projects that received the award at the institute’s 75th anniversary meeting in Denver in October. 

Tvsdesign announced the award Nov. 30, two days after the opening of a shopping mall it designed in TianjinChina. The firm has made significant inroads in the Asian nation, especially in the design of convention centers. 

The Atlanta airport’s international terminal recently won a design award from the institute’s local chapter.
