Atlanta-based companies, Omnexus and CompuCredit Corp., announced the introduction of multilingual Web sites as a means to expand global marketing reach, while the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta announced two new Internet resources for its Spanish-speaking consumers earlier this month.
Omnexus, a global plastics Internet marketplace, now offers its Web site in English, French, German and Spanish. Plastics industry professionals can now enter the Omnexus site, register in their preferred tongue, indicate their regional affiliation and specify unit of measure (U.S. or metric.)
“As an Internet marketplace, Omnexus had global reach from day one,” said Omnexus CEO Peter Dunning. “By adding not only additional language capabilities but regional settings, we’ve taken the first step in making Omnexus into a truly global solution for the plastics industry.”
CompuCredit Corp., a credit card company, offers two Spanish-language sites to better serve the U.S.’s growing Hispanic community.
“People appreciate the opportunity to conduct their personal financial business in their native language,” asserted Rafael Martinez, senior marketing manager for CompuCredit Corp. “I think this is one of the strongest ways we can demonstrate our commitment to serving this underserved market.”
The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta will provide online overviews of vehicle leasing information and mortgage financing in Spanish to ensure that the Hispanic community better understand negotiable terms, rights and responsibilities.
