The organizer of Atlanta Sustainable Fashion Week is leading a delegation to the Netherlands in May for a weeklong tour highlighting sustainable business practices.

Held May 17-25, the Immersive Sustainable Business Tour will give Atlanta companies a glimpse of how innovators in Europe’s fashion world are calibrating their operations to reduce environmental impact.

The tour is to include company visits, workshops and panel discussions, along with “curated cultural activities” and networking opportunities.

Tanjuria Willis, the founder of the ASFW, told Global Atlanta in September that she has always sought to source global solutions and share expertise across borders.

“It was always my vision to make this global,” said Ms. Willis, who is also the founder online consignment platform eKlozet. “This issue is a global issue. It’s not a local issue. It can’t be. It has to be addressed from a global standpoint, and we only get there if we work together.”

Her trip is being undertaken with support from the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Atlanta, which has focused on helping Black-owned businesses in Atlanta pursue export opportunities.

The cost of the weeklong trip is $5,695 including nonstop airfare from Atlanta to Amsterdam, $4,995 without airfare. Express interest, download a brochure and reserve your spot here, or email Ms. Willis.
