Global Atlanta: Tell us a little bit more about Green Worldwide and its role in Atlanta’s global landscape.

Thomas Jorgensen

Thomas Jorgensen: Green Worldwide Shipping is a privately owned third-party logistics company founded in 2008 in Atlanta, Ga. Since then, the company has grown to 16 locations throughout North America servicing international shippers and U.S. businesses with end-to-end transportation & logistics.

In addition to our freight forwarding services, Green Worldwide operates seven warehousing and distribution gateways and manages six Foreign Trade Zone facilities throughout the United States.

All Customs and trade compliance services are performed in-house by Licensed Customs Brokers in every office and supported with bi-coastal teams of regulatory compliance experts. We see our role as a strategic and supportive partner for international supply chains.

Why is important for you to foster more discussion around the country/region/topic that you are sponsoring?

Jorgensen: At Green Worldwide Shipping, we believe that fostering discussion around international trade and logistics is essential for driving economic growth, innovation and collaboration.

Atlanta’s role as a global gateway makes it critical to spotlight the regions and industries that contribute to the city’s international influence. By promoting open dialogue, we can help businesses better navigate the complexities of cross-border trade, compliance, and supply chain management, empowering them to grow internationally with confidence.

Green Worldwide Shipping is accelerating the expansion of our Enterprise Customs Brokerage services with a strong focus on tariff mitigation strategies, including bonded warehousing and Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) programs.

These solutions allow clients to defer or eliminate duties, optimize inventory flow, and better manage compliance across international operations. We are growing our national footprint of bonded and FTZ-designated facilities to support demand, while continuing to invest in our in-house teams of Licensed Customs Brokers and regulatory experts. Our specialized expertise in trade compliance, combined with a consultative approach and customized solutions, sets us apart as a trusted partner for companies seeking smarter, more strategic ways to manage their global supply chains.

Why did you choose to sponsor a channel through Global Atlanta?

We chose to sponsor a channel through Global Atlanta because of its reputation as a trusted platform for international business news and community engagement.

As a company rooted in global trade and founded right here in Atlanta, supporting a channel that fosters education, connection and dialogue aligns perfectly with our mission. Continuing this sponsorship allows us to stay connected with Atlanta’s dynamic international community and helps reinforce our role as a leader and advocate for global commerce.
