Atlanta’s Mexican Consulate General has moved to a larger office building that will help it meet steadily rising demand for services.
On Jan. 29-30, the consulate relocated from its Apple Valley Road location of nearly 10 years to a three-floor office building at 1700 Chantilly Dr. Northeast in Atlanta.
“At the moment, the space in which we are located is insufficient, and the move is necessary to be able to improve the services that we offer,” said Consul General Salvador de Lara in a news release before the move.
The new location is three times larger than the current space and has 150 parking spaces. The top two floors are currently being remodeled, and the consulate will initially operate only on the bottom floor.
The new offices opened to the public on Feb. 2.
