Chrysler Corp. is sponsoring a new South African art exhibition that will be in Atlanta next summer to coincide with the 1996 Olympic Games.

Titled, Panoramas of Passage:  Changing Landscapes of South Africa, the exhibit will be on view at the Fernbank Museum during the National Black Arts Festival as well as the Games.  Specific dates have yet to be set, said a Chrysler spokesman.

Its U.S.debut will be in Washington, D.C. in October and then taken to Dallas, Atlanta, Detroit and Wilberforce, Ohio.

The exhibit was jointly organized by the Meridian International Center in Washington and the University of Witwatersrand Art Galleries in Johannesburg.
