Atlanta Women in International Trade (AWIT) will present a seminar on Incoterms 2000 Thursday, Jan. 27.

Incoterms, trade terms as defined by the International Chamber of Commerce, have been used to clearly define the respective duties and liabilities of the buyer and seller in international trade since 1936. They are updated as trade methods change and the last revision took place in 1990.

Marie Tenaglia, adviser to AWIT and former vice president of SunTrust Bank, international division, will speak at the seminar on the latest changes.

The discussion will be held from 8-10 a.m. at 127 Peachtree St., in the lower level of the Candler Building. Registration, networking and breakfast will take place from 7:30-8 a.m. The cost is $35 for members, $40 for non-members. It is recommended that attendees bring a copy of the new Incoterms 2000 book to the event.
