U.K.’s Axiom Acquires Atlanta-based Audit Firm to Boost U.S. Business

London-based Axiom GRC, a provider of governance, risk management and compliance services, has acquired Atlanta-based CPA and audit firm AssurancePoint to deepen its U.S. expansion. 

Founded in 2021, AssurancePoint isset to become part of Philadelphia-based IS Partners, a U.S. affiliate of Axiom, which was drawn to the deal by AssurancePoint’s use of technology in the auditing process and its strong recurring business.

Axiom’s platform consists of more than 50 compliance products across a range of fields, from workplace safety and employment law to cybersecurity, ISO certifications and regulatory intelligence. 

The British firm, backed by European mid-market private equity firm Inflexion, has 30,000 clients across 10 countries, served by 1,500 employees. More than 2 million users take advantage of its software products. 

AssurancePoint’s offerings include privacy solutions, SOC examinations and audits of U.S. Commerce Department NIST requirements.
