Belgian supplier of resins and additives for paints and coatings has moved its Americas headquarters to an Alpharetta building where it will also house a technology center to develop and test new products.

Allnex USA Inc. was previously based in Smyrna, according to a news release from corporate real estate firm Cresa, which advised the company on the relocation.

The 50,933-square-foot building at 9005 Westside Parkway in Alpharetta allowed the company to consolidate its metro Atlanta base and research laboratory in one building with minimal renovations. Allnex is leasing the entire building, according to the Cresa release.

It’s also key to helping the company expand sales internationally, Allnex CEO Frank Aranzana said in a release.

“The creation of our new Americas headquarters and technology center is part of Allnex’s strategy to accelerate our growth in key markets and further globalize our business. It is also one more way we are reinforcing our position as a preferred resin supplier,” he said.

Allnex was created in May when Cytec Industries sold its coating resins business to funds affiliated with Advent International

The Brussels-based company has $1.5 billion in annual revenues with 2,000 employees, 16 factories and 13 research and technology centers around the world. Its products are used in the automotive, paint, architectural products industries and more.
