Moneypenny's new office boasts space for some of its 200-plus Atlanta employees to gather.

U.K.-based Moneypenny, which operates a suite of outsourced call answering, chat and customer-contact services, has opened a new U.S. headquarters building in Gwinnett County.

The new facility in unincorporated Duluth more than doubles its existing footprint to 27,000 square feet with capacity for 225 employees across the company’s three businesses: Moneypenny, VoiceNation and NinjaNumber, the latter two having joined the company in a 2020 acquisition.

Now, Moneypenny employs more than 1,000 people across offices in metro Atlanta, Charleston, S.C. and its home base in Wrexham, Wales. Some 210 are working in Georgia, either remotely or in the office.

With exposed ceilings, the space aims at an urban vibe and hearkens back to Moneypenny’s whimsical Welsh headquarters, which boasts a treehouse flanked by giraffe sculptures and bean bag chairs in a central gathering space.

As in its award-winning U.K. office, the building at 2915 Premiere Parkway in the Sugarloaf Community Improvement District will likewise include a refreshment area known as “the Middle,” which will feature sofas, armchairs and a bright kitchen. Soundproof pods and headphones will keep virtual receptionists from hearing their colleagues even in light-filled, open environment, according to a news release.

Moneypenny provides outsourced communication services for more than 21,000 businesses in the United Kingdom and the U.S. It has grown revenue 40 percent in one year, with staff numbers increasing by 15 percent since last March. The new facility brought $1 million in capital investment.
