A partner in two information technology companies in Sofia, Bulgaria, who visited Atlanta last week is looking for partnerships with area firms that need to outsource software development.
Rumen Christov, managing partner of IT Consulting and Education, a Microsoft-certified technical training school, spoke to GlobalFax before a presentation to the Bulgarian-American Business Council-Atlanta last week.
Mr. Christov, whose training center graduated 500 students and professionals last year and retained some of the top graduates for development work, wants to form long-term partnerships with Atlanta firms that need to outsource software programming, he said. He added that he would like to establish an office in Atlanta.
Bulgaria’s highly skilled workers, comparatively low costs and the time difference with the U.S. allow American software firms to have 24-hour a day development, he said.
Bulgaria and other Eastern European countries compete with India as popular locations for outsourcing software development work.
Mr. Christov is also managing partner of Team Vision Bulgaria Ltd., a branch of Danish financial application services provider Navision Solution Center, which has its U.S. corporate headquarters in Atlanta.
