Savannah-based celebrity cook Paula Deen has signed a deal with a British company, International Greetings PLC, for a line of stationery, recipe cards, boxes and food containers.
Ms. Deen has a show on the Food Network, is a best-selling author and has a bi-monthly magazine, “Cooking with Paula Deen” that has a circulation of more than 1 million.
“Paula Deen is the quintessential American success story,” International Greetings said in a news release announcing the licensing agreement.
International Greetings is listed on the London Stock Exchange. Its U.S. headquarters is in Deen’s home town of Savannah.
The Deen products will go on sale in May in more than 1,000 Michaels stores. International Greetings is also in discussions with other retailers to sell the products.
