CNN Partner Hotels presented 10 hotels worldwide with an outstanding service award during the Sixth International Hotel & Investment Conference, held last month in Berlin.

An affiliate of Atlanta‘s Cable News Network LP, CNN Partner Hotels is a marketing program that licenses the CNN International television signal and use of the “CNN Partner” brand to participating hotels around the world.

The “Ultimate Service Award,” now in its second year, is the only global citation to honor hotel line staff for superior service.

Travelers from 157 countries voted for their preferred hotel, which did not have to be part of the CNN Partner program, through the Web site or via, homepage of Taylor Nelson Sophres.

Winners include Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates; Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in Berlin; Grand Hyatt Hotel in Shanghai;

Hotel Cariblue in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica; Hotel Intercontinental in Buenos Aires, Argentina; Leela Palace Hotel in Bangalore, India;

Marriott Courtyard Hotel in Berlin; Sheraton Four Points in Sydney, Australia; Sheraton Falls View Hotel in Niagara, Canada and Sheraton Hotel in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

          Australia’s Four Points Sheraton and Ethiopia’s Sheraton Hotel were the only repeat winners from 2001. 

Award sponsors in addition to CNN Partner Hotels included American Express Corp., Continental Airlines Inc. and Taylor Nelson Sofres PLC, a travel-focused market research and consulting firm.
