First Tuesday Atlanta (FTA), a technology networking group, will feature the Danish trade commissioner, Kent Fallesen, Tuesday, Dec. 4, who will discuss his country’s latest technology industry news and opportunities there for Georgia companies.
FTA, a local chapter of First Tuesday Ltd., a global organization of 100,000 members of some 100 First Tuesday city organizations in 46 countries, plans to invite speakers representing foreign-based technology companies to its monthly meetings in order to facilitate international business connections, Executive Director Dan McGirt told GlobalFax.
Each month since its December 2000 inception, the local network of technology entrepreneurs, executives, investors and service providers has invited a different country representative to spotlight the technology industry there. These representatives have typically been members of bi-national chambers of commerce, foreign consulates or foreign trade commissions here, Mr. McGirt said.
FTA now wants to bring in speakers who are employees of foreign-based companies that are working here in Georgia, he said.
The group met last week at SciTrek, with Frederic Bouisset, marketing manager of the Lorraine Development Corp., as the featured speaker.
