Passengers at all Japanese airports served by Delta Air Lines Inc. can now check in for Delta flights using electronic boarding passes on their mobile devices.
Delta announced April 19 that it has expanded its eBoarding pass offering to airports in Nagoya and Osaka as well as Tokyo-Haneda and Tokyo-Narita.
When checking in online, customers can choose to send a boarding pass to their smartphones. They then use the electronic pass to cross security checkpoints and to board their flight.
Delta offers the technology at 69 airports around the world, boosting the number of available airports by 40 percent so far this year.
