Next summer, any Atlanta traveler with Italy still left unchecked on their bucket list will be left without an excuse as Delta Air Lines Inc. expands its nonstop access to the country from here.

Four-times-weekly flights from Atlanta to the southern coastal city of Naples will begin in May 2025, accompanied by three new weekly flights to Rome, which Delta already serves with a twice-daily flight from Atlanta and is set to reach from four other U.S. hubs with the addition of Minneapolis that same month.

Also already serving Milan from Atlanta, the airline will add a nonstop flight to the northern Italian fashion and industrial hub in May from Boston

The Italy expansion is in addition to a wide variety of new trans-Atlantic links, some of which will depart from Atlanta. For the summer season at least, Delta is launching four additional weekly flights on top of its daily service to Athens, Greece, bringing total frequencies to 11 times weekly.

Coming just four years after Delta was coaxed back into the Greek market with a single Atlanta flight in July 2021, shows just how much international tourism has taken off in the post-pandemic travel era.

Delta outlined its new flight map in a news release, which had this to say about its Atlanta expansion:

Delta continues to expand its trans-Atlantic offerings from Atlanta, adding more options for travelers to explore Europe. With four additional weekly flights to Athens, bringing the total to 11, Delta strengthens its position as the leading U.S. airline to Greece. Travelers can also enjoy three extra weekly flights to both Barcelona and Rome, for a total of 10 and 17 respectively, or opt for daily service to Zurich for the ultimate Swiss escape.
