The Walloon Agency for Export and Foreign Investment (AWEX) is the department of the Walloon Region in charge of promoting foreign trade and attracting foreign investors. His creation, driven by the decree of 1 st April 2004 from the merger between the Walloon Export Agency and the Office for foreign Investors (OFI).

The Agency is a public interest organization. It has a legal personality, which ensures particular greater autonomy and greater flexibility in management: an important asset in the report to businesses.
