The Dominican Republic is courting Georgia buyers for its largest annual food, beverage and tobacco show in Santo Domingo May 28-31.

For qualified companies, the Caribbean nation is offering an incentive program for the three-day Agroalimentaria event, including three nights of complimentary accommodation, tailored business matchmaking meetings, access to exclusive panels, and trade counseling from ProDominicana throughout the event.

This year’s edition will feature more than 250 Dominican exporters of fruits, coffee, cocoa, cigars, rum beer, spices, pasta and more.

Dominican Consul General Rosa Yanina Torres Tamares, based in New Orleans, is set to visit Georgia soon for meetings with the consulate’s Atlanta outpost in Gwinnett County. The consulate is also looking to build a directory of Dominican-owned businesses in Georgia and throughout the Southeast U.S. Those who qualify can enter their information here.
