A Netherlands-based manufacturer of aluminum products for the automotive industry is to begin construction on a new facility early in 2016 in Bartow County that expects to create some 150 high-tech jobs by 2019.

Constellium Automotive Structure North America announced the $32 million investment on Nov. 24, the latest in a series of foreign investments in the Cartersville area.

According to the announcement, Constellium is to invest $20 million and Seefried Industrial Properties Inc. $12 million in the project that eventually will provide products for its key customers including Audi, BMW, Fiat, General Motors, Honda, Jaguar, Mercedes Benz, PSA Peugeot Citroen and Volkswagen.

The company operates more than 20 manufacturing sites in North America, Europe and Asia. Its solutions aimed at reducing vehicle mass while advancing their safety are being developed at a technology center in Voreppe, France.
