The German Bierfest also features live music and plenty of hands on sports, activities, and games.
Atlanta’s German Bierfest was born out of the simple idea: have a day dedicated to celebrating German Culture with authentic German beer, food, and music. With the simple idea to bring a taste of German culture to Atlanta, the German Bierfest gained popularity over the years and is on the ‘must do’ list for Atlanta festival fans and beer lovers in the Fall.
Starting out in 2003 in what felt like a backyard get-together with 150 guests and a selection of 16 German beers, the German Bierfest was born. The team was inspired to grow the event to share it with the City of Atlanta. Throughout the years, the event has moved to larger locations, featured more beers and offered more activities. As a result, attendance numbers have grown every year.
Over the years, the festival has become Atlanta’s longest running and coolest beer festival. German Bierfest benefits the German American Chamber of Commerce and is produced by Premier Events, an Atlanta based event production company that works with the cities top festivals and entertainment venues. The German Bierfest now welcomes thousands of beer enthusiasts to enjoy a day of celebrating all things German at Atlanta’s only authentic, family-friendly German Bierfest.
