2022 Dunwoody Great Decisions Virtual Lecture Series: Outer Space

Presented by the Georgia Council for International Visitors (GCIV) in partnership with the Atlanta Global Studies Center, the annual 2022 Dunwoody Great Decisions Foreign Policy Lecture Series will take place via Zoom every Thursday evening from February 3 โ March 31, 2022 at 7:30 PM. There is a fee to register for the virtual lecture series, and registration is required to receive the event link.
This week’s topic: Outer Space
- Speaker: Dr. Mariel Borowitz, Associate Professor in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs at Georgia Tech.
The launch of Sputnik I in October 1957 marked the beginning of the space era and of the space race between the United States and the Soviet Union. In the 21st century, there are many more participants in space, including countries such as India and China, and commercial companies such as SpaceX. How will the United States fare in a crowded outer space?
About the series:ย
