2024 JASG Annual Dinner Gala

The Japan-America Society of Georgia is excited to celebrate its 44th Anniversary at the 2024 Annual Dinner Gala on Tuesday, August 13th, at the prestigious Cherokee Town Club in Buckhead, Atlanta. They hope attendees will make plans to join, as this year’s dinner promises to be an evening not to be missed, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Consulate General of Japan in Atlanta.

The Consulate General of Japan in Atlanta was established on February 15, 1974, with the goal of supporting the increasing number of Japanese businesses and Japanese citizens that were moving to the southeastern United States at that time.  Since then, in addition to protecting Japanese citizens in its jurisdiction and consular duties such as issuing visas, the Consulate has continued to support Japanese-affiliated companies, collect political, economic, and other relevant information, and carry out cultural exchange and public relations activities through a variety of events in an effort to deepen relations and understanding between Japan and the southeastern United States.
