3-Day History Symposium: The End of World War II and the Start of the Cold War in Europe

October 12, 2020 at 12:00 pm - October 14, 2020 at 2:00 pm

A 3-day virtual symposium between October 12-14, 12-2 pm each day.

World War II, the deadliest conflict in human history, left unimaginable destruction in its wake. Europe needed to rebuild shattered lives and economies – all the while a new menace, the USSR, surfaced in the East. In this three day symposium, experts will explore the end of the war on both the Eastern and Western fronts, the complicated rebuild process for Europe, the rise of the USSR, and the creation of NATO as the world plunged into the Cold War.
