9th Atlanta Summit on Global Health: The Race to Beat COVID-19

June 1, 2021 at 12:00 pm - June 3, 2021 at 1:30 pm

The Atlanta Summit on Global Health is an annual gathering of international public health experts focused on a designated global health theme.  The summit, founded in 2011 and organized by the World Affairs Council of Atlanta and CSIS, draws upon the wealth of global health expertise in the greater Atlanta area, including but not limited to officials of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health, and CARE USA. It enlists strong corporate participation, along with the leadership of Atlanta, key media, and experts from Washington, D.C., and beyond. Previous summit themes include health and natural disasters, adolescent girls’ and women’s health, refugees, and food security.

The theme of the 2021 Global Health Conference is the race to beat COVID-19. Each day of the three-day conference will focus on one of the three critical, fast-evolving dimensions of the unfolding pandemic with a keynote followed by a moderated panelist discussion.
