Accelerated Digital Transformation of Manufacturing in a Post-Pandemic World

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused a perfect storm of disruption to supply first, then to demand, and finally to working practices around the world of manufacturing geography. Importantly it is shifting the debate from globalization to digitalization. Is has also created a unique opportunity to get rapid traction on digitalization of production processes. This webinar looks at the proving grounds where the most agile businesses can address restrictions on travel shutdowns of physical supply lines and factory operations.
Many of these firms have already established flexible digital and robotic process automation platforms and should be able to build on these achievements. The unfolding crisis is also fostering new IT industry leaders rethinking the nature of production work. More productive ways of conducting the same jobs are coming to light with a ripple effect on manufacturing digital roadmaps.
This virtual workshop, divided in two panels, is designed to offer attendees the unique perspective of manufacturing leaders and practitioners in select industry sectors at a key inflexion point in the global crisis. Key questions addressed: Best sourcing strategies, essential digital building blocks, workforce skill gaps and adaption, industry sector winners and losers, best platforms to power digitalization, potential for reshoring and emerging patterns of global competition.
Expected participants will be senior business professionals from industry, CIOs, IT practitioners and researchers. Local and national organizations as well as media representatives will be invited.ย
