Atlanta Global Studies Symposium: Sustaining and Advancing Global Studies in Times of Crisis

April 9 at 11:00 am 7:30 pm

Free
875 West Peachtree St NE
Atlanta, GA 30309 United States

Global challenges are no longer distant — they shape our classrooms, workplaces, and communities every day. At a time of funding uncertainty and growing pressure on international collaboration, this symposium brings together educators, students, civic leaders, and industry partners to ask a shared question: how do we sustain global engagement when it matters most?

Join for a day of conversation, collaboration, and action to reflect on the impact of the Atlanta Global Studies Center and chart the future of global studies in our city and beyond. Through panels, dialogue, and cultural programming, participants will explore how global learning strengthens universities, supports workforce development, and connects local communities to worldwide change.

Atlanta is already global – this gathering focuses on how the community builds resilient partnerships to keep it that way. Be part of the conversation. Help shape what comes next!

Agenda:

  • Registration and doors open: 11:00 AM
  • Networking luncheon: 12:00 PM
  • Panel and poster sessions, concluding with a networking reception at 5:00 PM
