Step into a story of romance, obsession, and imagination as the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra presents Berlioz’s Symphonie fantastique, a work so vivid it feels cinematic. Long before modern streaming dramas, Berlioz crafted a symphony filled with passion, fantasy, and dark twists—taking audiences on a journey that remains as thrilling today as it was two centuries ago.
Led by Swiss conductor Philippe Jordan, the program opens with Berlioz’s electrifying Roman Carnival Overture, followed by Saint-Saëns’s Piano Concerto No. 5, performed by acclaimed pianist Bertrand Chamayou. With bold brass, sweeping melodies, and virtuosic flair, the evening delivers a dynamic and immersive concert experience for both classical music lovers and newcomers alike.
