Karen has served as Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the UK Mission to the United Nations and the World Trade Organization in Geneva, and UK’s Ambassador to Afghanistan. Prior to arriving in DC in 2020, she served as the United Kingdom’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York since March 2018.
